On October 3rd Accra-Fab was honored to host a brief visit and tour for a program called the American Congressional Exchange (ACE). Under ACE, participating members from the House:
This valuable program provides House Members with an opportunity to develop greater mutual respect, understanding of divergent constituencies, and appreciation for varied policy approaches to shared challenges — and ultimately may identify areas of common legislative ground that will help forge solutions for their constituents.
Attending the visit and tour of Accra-Fab were US Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA 5th District) and US Rep. David Trone (D-MD 6th District), as well as members of the Bipartisan Policy Center & American Congressional Exchange.
Following the visit, we received these kind words from Jonathan Perman, Co-Director of the American Congressional Exchange, “In particular, we were all impressed with the collaborative workforce culture you have created at Accra-Fab and the continuing innovation and process improvements that are being undertaken to stay competitive.”
Accra-Fab was one of three local manufacturers who provided a tour and presentation outlining the challenges faced in our industry today. It was a great experience that we hope to be invited to take part in again in the future.
